Yamamoto Signed HRT’s Contract to Become Official Test Driver and Reserve Race Driver
It is true that the popular Sakon Yamamoto signed the much talked about HRT’s contract to actually become the official test driver and reserve race driver of the Spanish team. He is already a part of the HRT and actually now very much anticipated by his followers to be seen working close with the likes of Indian Karun Chandhok and Brazilian Bruno Senna, two great racers he has actually been wishing to be with for long.
Well, the Japanese racer seemed very happy after signing. He seemed to like the idea of being able to help the Spanish team and the racers.
“I am very pleased to be joining the HRT F1 Team,” said Yamamoto after signing. “It is fantastic to be part of a new team and I hope I will be able to gather useful data whenever possible on Friday for the race drivers.”
“I have seen how committed everyone at the team is and I feel the same,” said Yamamoto in addition. “I will be doing my very best to support Karun and Bruno this year. I’m proud to work with this Spanish team, because Spain is like my second home as I also live in Barcelona.”
While Yamamoto must also to become an asset to the HRT team as the team principal Colin Kolles has indeed spoken in behalf of everyone and said it’s a great pleasure to have him in the team for this year’s season as test driver as well as reserve race driver because of his input in the near future.
“It’s a great pleasure for us to have signed Sakon Yamamoto as our test driver and reserve race driver for the 2010 season,” said Kolles. “I am confident that his input into the development of our car will be useful and means another reinforcement of our team as the European season starts in Barcelona.”
