World Champion Continues to Collect Prestigious Awards
It is true that a person who gives it all for his career, for what he does best, will eventually reap great rewards for doing so. Like the world champion Jenson Button, who gives it all for Formula One racing and who now continues to collect prestigious awards.
Just one day after he got two awards at the Autosport Awards, he bagged home some more at the British Racing Drivers’ Club or BRDC, annual end-of-season event in London.
Button got the Richard Seaman Trophy. But may be more than the trophy, the world champion was really pleased with appearance of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the event and gave him significant recognition as he handed to him the much-coveted trophy. The trophy might be just like a bonus to him, the words of praise might be more important.
Brown said, “Jenson, we are so proud of everything that you have achieved. And in addition said, “we have a world champion in whom we have so much pride, who fought back against all the odds, who achieved something when some people thought at the beginning of the season it was impossible. Jenson, the whole country is proud of you. You are a brilliant ambassador for British sport, and I thank you for what you are doing”.
At the event, Button also got three more awards including the ever popular BRDC Gold Star award.
Well, Button is more than deserving to continuously have the chance to have awards, just one after another. He has been a good racer, and no doubt has done everything to always give everyone good racing shows. He is the kind of racer who is really more than deserving to.
More awards might be given to him in acknowledgment of all his accomplishments. Let us wait and see what these awards are.
