Yes, Wayne Rooney of Manchester United might miss CSKA Moscow match happening very soon. A lot of his followers are saddened about this but then he has good reasons for possibly missing a one good Champions League match.

The wife of Rooney, Coleen, is expected to give birth to their first child on October 24 which happens to be days before their Russian capital trip.

In a way, it is going to be an unlikely happening to miss a one good Champions League match but then the former star of Everton, Rooney, is all set to miss the said match in case it coincides with the birth of their baby. He even said before that he just want to be there when their baby arrives. He seemed excited when he said so.

Rooney explained, “if anything happens around the days of travelling then I’m sure I’ll stay back and won’t go but unless that happens I’ll be there playing” and that, “it’s due a few days after. Of course it’s a long way but I’ve got a job to go and play for United so unless anything happens then I’ll be there”.

It is actually understandable for Rooney to decide to just miss the CSKA Moscow match for the sake of being there on the birth of their first child. It will happen one’s in a lifetime and he seems excited to be a first time dad.

Meanwhile, Rooney is pleased with the comments that United manager Sir Alex Ferguson just given implying that the England international could continue to be one of the greats of the game. Thus, he added, “things like that matter to you because you play football to be the best and I want to try to do that” and that “if he said that then I’m really pleased because he’s a great manager and a great person”.
