The Three Straight Wins for the Cumbrians
Though Armann Bjornsson was able to give the Pools the lead on his first league start, the goals from Ian Harte, eight of the season, Matty Robson and Tom Taiwo managed to make it three straight wins for the Cumbrians.
Bjornsson was the fastest to react to the cross of Leon McSweeney from the left in the fourth minute being significantly in between a defender and keeper Alan Collin to lead the ball home from six yards.
In the 33rd minute, Harte made Carlisle be back on level terms, pushing the ball home from just a couple of yards. Taiwo was then able to have his first ever League goal in the 52nd minute, thus giving the Cumbrians the lead.
Robson, an erstwhile Pools winger, is believed to be responsible for the third goal of Carlisle in the 63rd minute when his risky cross from wide on the left fooled Flinders and the goalkeeper seemed to be in anger when the ball hit the crossbar’s underside then rebounded the net off his body.
In the 90th minute, Monkhouse gave Pools hope as he swept a left-wing cross home however was not fair enough to stop Hartlepool from going down to third straight losses.
Anything can really happen in an instant. Thus, when watching or observing in an event or say a match, it is important that both eyes are really open. Like some key players managing to make it three straight wins for the Cumbrians, in an instant, they were able to give the Cumbrians the reason to smile all out. Armann Bjornsson was able to give the Pools the lead on his first league start, but it became not that significant when the key players started to make their way for the wins for the Cumbrians, quite unexpected indeed.
