A lot of fans are shocked at how many players that the Texans released recently. They just released 22 players from their team so they could make the 53-player limit. Some of the ones that they cut really shocked people. One person they cut was Alex Brink, who played as the Texans’ quarterback.

Some of the players made sure that they could stay and play in the game because of the performances that they gave during the game. One of the ones that made sure that he would stay in the game and not get cut was Rex Grossman. He gave a killer performance at the final preseason game for the Texans.  He put on such a great show that it helped him advance in his career, and he earned his spot. A lot of his fans are very pleased because he was on the injured list for a while because of a hamstring. After his hamstring healed, though, he came back very strong and made up for the time that he missed. He wanted to show the fans that he still had what it took to succeed, and that he did. Even his coach continues to brag about how well he played. While he was playing, the bets also started going up on them and people even switched their bets over to the team because of him. The Coach is excited about it and what this could do for their team.

Some of the players that are released will be going to other teams. The Jets will be taking Schaub while Kubiak is trying to make a choice as to  whether he wants to play quarterback for Houston or not. The one thing that is hurting Schaub right now is literally his ankle and because of that, it might actually get in the way of him starting out with the Jets but regardless of his ankle injury, the jets are still planning to sign him.

Deltha O’Neal is another player that has been released. He showed a lot of signs of hope at the very beginning, but he just didn’t make it because of an injury that he suffered while he was at camp. He did not progress very well while he was recovering from the injury, and the Texans have to release him from their team because of it.

After Joel Dreesen showed some really good signs of being able to do the job, they cut Clark Harris, who was the long snapper, because of it. No one knows what Clark Harris is going to do now that he was cut.

The Texans kept at least six receivers because Jacoby Jones made a terrific touchdown reception.
