Scotland Vs Macedonia
A really big game is approaching between Macedonia and Scotland. They will soon be playing against each other, and we will see who will be qualified for the World Cup in 2010. It’s going to be a really important game, because George Burley’s team is actually tied with their opponents with only seven points. Whoever wins this game will break that tie, and more bets will be going towards them. On the flip side, Scotland is also hoping to win for almost the same reasons. That means that when this game takes place, both teams will be trying their hardest, so it’s going to be hard to tell who exactly will win.
The bets are really down for Scotland. They were defeated really badly in a game with Norway last month, losing by a score of 4-0. Their spirit is really struggling and a lot of fans don’t believe that it will pick up for this game. That is another reason why Scotland will be trying to play their best. If they prove that they can defeat the Macedonians, the crowd will once again show signs of respect with their bets. This is also do or die for Scotland. In order for them to qualify, they must win this game, and they must win the game in Holland that will be coming up after this. If they don’t win, they won’t have a chance of getting into the World Cup. Scotland is also really hoping their fans will help them and continue to support them because they need it right now.
Macedonia is standing with odds of 7/2 for the victory and very well could easily get it. They drew the odds for Macedonia at 5/2. Scotland has odds of 750/1 of winning the world cup. If Macedonia wins this match, it will be the first time that they have ever been able to qualify for a world cup and it really looks as though they really might be able to do just that. Some of the crowd doesn’t believe that Macedonia will get that far, but the players are bound and determined that they will. That’s why Scotland fans also believe that Scotland has a chance of defeating them, since Macedonia has never won a world cup.
Both teams also have good people starting the matches. David Weir, defender, and Craig Gordon, the Sunderland keeper, will be the ones that kick off the game with Scotland. Those two together should make the other team tremble a bit because both of them are experienced and skilled. They are considered pros at this game, and that is another reason why the coached picked them to play to start off the match.
