Ramirez Being Bothered by Sore Left Thumb

Aramis RamirezThe Cubs third baseman, Aramis Ramirez, was not able to start on Tuesday and news reports confirmed that his left thumb had something to do with him not being able to. And because of him failing to, he might just be included in the disabled list.

Well, Ramirez has been suffering from a sore left thumb. And so, for some the best thing to do is to actually just put him in the list of disabled players for his own good and also of the team.

Chad Tracy can be called up for help. He actually opened the Cubs’ big league roster season and in 26 games at Triple-A Iowa batting .396. And with the Minor League team, Tracy has also five home runs, eight doubles and 18 RBIs.

However, though Tracy can be called up, still Cubs manager Lou Piniella could not confirm if they will do so.

“Until we decide what to do, there’s no sense in any speculation,” said Piniella.

But of course, the manager affirmed that Ramirez is being bothered by his thumb and might be best to just let him be included in the disabled list.

“[The thumb] bothers him from time to time,” said Piniella. “I think regarding that situation, rather than milking it along, [he could go on the DL and] possibly get it 100 percent well, but we’ll see.”

Fans of Ramirez were saddened by the affirmation of the manager regarding the thumb bothering the player. But then, problem like this can really take place and must be accepted in order to be solved.

Hopefully the problem will be solved pretty soon. Ramirez is a kind of player not worth missing. He is a kind of player to have in games. May he be able to get over with it and return in games well.
