Ramirez Be Back at Fenway Park
A lot of baseball fans felt excited when they heard about the arrival of the White Sox on Friday at Fenway Park for a three-game weekend series. Of course, it only meant the comeback of the former Red Sox Manny Ramirez.
Well, the fans still felt excited although it will be a second comeback for Ramirez for 2010. They still felt that it will be a good one. Ramirez also played for Boston for long time.
But Jed Lowrie talked about the comeback of Ramirez and the infielder said that it was not that clear what really to expect with the former Red Sox return.
Lowrie said: “I don’t really know what to expect. I’m sure there will be people cheering and people booing. [Ramirez] did a lot for the city of Boston, so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s greeting this time around.”
Lowrie did not think seriously about what really to expect with return of Ramirez instead did think seriously about how Red Sox will stay in competition for a postseason place in the season’s final weeks.
Lowrie said in addition: “When all the questions are over, it’s about the game. We’re not going to be thinking about Manny when we’re in the field. When he’s up to bat, we got to play defense, just like anybody else is up at the place. Obviously, he’s one of the most talented players in the game, but it doesn’t change the way we have to approach the game.”
Ramirez indeed played for Boston for long time and so the fans just felt excited with the former Red Sox comeback. They have most likely figured out that there might be an interesting encounter with Ramirez returning at Fenway Park no longer in Red Sox outfit. Well, there might actually be an interesting encounter.
