Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers believed that famous midfielder Darren Pratley is just glad to be with the club. Despite all the rumors involving him with a departure from the Liberty Stadium, Rodgers said that the midfielder just seems happy to remain with the club.

Recently, it was reported that Nottingham Forest tried to offer £1million to Pratley just for his services but then the midfielder just rejected the offer. And because of this, most likely the manager has thought about Pratley being just happy to be with the club.

Rodgers explained: “I have had a couple of really good chats with Darren. He is in the last year of his contract but he is more than happy to be here. I think everyone understands that if a player has the chance to move to the Premier League, they want to go because it’s the biggest league in the world. But if you’re not going to make a move like that, there’s nowhere better to be than here.”

To have Pratley around must be something really helpful to Rodgers, therefore the manager also seemed glad to reveal that the midfielder seems just happy to remain with them. Pratley must be a great help to Rodgers and of course for the entire club, thus it would be just good to have him around. Good thing the midfielder seems happy to stay, naturally according to the manager. Well, he might have also felt the need to just stay with the club.

Rodgers added: “I think Darren understands that. He respects where I am coming from and I think he has got a new lease of life. He is enjoying the work we’re doing. He is certainly not rushing to get out and I’m very confident we can do something to keep him here.”
