PirelliThose sports betting enthusiasts who have been supporting Pirelli in its preparations for Formula One racing comeback in 2011 must be happy with the news on the Italian company continuing with its preparations quickly this week. The test at France’s Paul Ricard circuit was indeed successful. Official test driver Nick Heidfeld was on track once again.

Heidfeld worked seriously behind the wheel of a Toyota TF109 fitted with latest PZero Formula One tires of Pirelli.

Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery said: “We’re very happy with the progress we’ve made so far, which actually puts us slightly ahead of where we expected to be at this point in time. We worked through an initial development program that has given us a useful insight into the performance of our prototype tires under a wide range of conditions, corners and speeds.”

Hembery was truly satisfied with the progress that they have made after the test at France’s Paul Ricard circuit. They actually became ahead of the schedule. Hembery was pleased with such a progress.

Hembery said: “We’ve been hugely encouraged by what we’ve seen up to now, and that’s been helped by both Nick’s clear and precise feedback, as well as all the different possibilities afforded to us by the Paul Ricard circuit.”

The motorsport race track built at Le Castellet has been considered a high-tech test facility and Pirelli just made full use of the circuit. Through the circuit, the Italian firm was able to check the performance of the tires under extreme loading and even through sections slower and more technical.

Test program of Pirelli will go on in Spain in two weeks’ time. And for sure there are some who are now really looking forward to such great continuation in Spain, wishing the best for Pirelli and its test program.
