Pettitte Tried to Return From Strained Left Groin
Yankees left-hander Andy Pettitte actually tried to return from a strained left groin. But some fans were unhappy with the attempt as their favorite only ended up being sidelined once again for maybe one week.
Before the Bombers’ game Tuesday, Pettitte was able to throw around 40 pitches at the Yankee Stadium. He was able to finish one session but then it seemed that the left-hander was hesitant to throw full intensity pitches.
Pettitte took MRI exam at New York’s Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital and it was found out that he could continue to throw off flat ground but could not be set foot on a mound.
Before leaving Yankee Stadium, Pettitte was able to confirm that he is feeling good, feeling better. He said he only experience something if he plays like usual.
Pettitte said: “I’m feeling good. I’m feeling better. But when I reach back 100 percent, like I’m trying to get a batter out in a game, the groin area grabs.”
Since July 18, Pettitte has been on the 15-day disabled list. It was July 18 when he actually strained the groin. He was in the start against the Rays.
Naturally, fans would be unhappy with their left-hander’s attempt to actually return from a strained left groin. Because of such attempt, he was sidelined once again for about a week. But then for sure they were also bit pleased by their favorite’s eagerness to return and throw some pitches. He was determined to come back and deliver some good pitches. He proved himself worthy of their love and support.
Well, we hope that Pettitte will soon feel completely well so he can return perfectly. Of course, he will soon be totally fine. He is a strong man; he will soon be completely well and his supporters will then celebrate for sure.
