Perkins to Miss Season Finale Game Against Los Angeles Lakers
Boston center Kendrick Perkins was reported to have actually earned a sprained right knee and so might just miss the season finale game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Celtics coach Doc Rivers, after knowing about it just confirmed it to be true, the player had a sprained right knee and that because of the injury can’t just play in the very important game. The game will determine the best of the season.
And according to Rivers, Perkins actually sprained some ligaments in right knee. The player was badly hurt midway through the first quarter of Game 6 between Boston and Los Angeles. He battled with center Andrew Bynum however got an awkward landing.
Perkins also was interviewed and expressed sadness on missing the very important game. However the player also expressed anticipation on the ability of the other players of the team to actually fill in. The likes of Rasheed Wallace and Glen Davis can fill in perfectly.
Of course Rivers and the other men of the team would still prefer to have Perkins in the season finale game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Many men of the team have faith on what the center player can actually do or say extend in the court.
“Perk is our enforcer,” Rajon Rondo said. “He’s our biggest body we have to throw out there on Bynum. He clears the paint for us. He does a lot of intangibles. He’s a great shot-blocker, rebounder, and he’s the anchor of our defense.”
But then Perkins earned an injury and everyone in the team can’t do anything with it. The player must be destined to have such injury and then not be able to play in a one very significant game. Everyone in the team should just have to deal with it, and we say should do so admirably.
