O’Neill Resigned Before Start of New Premier League

Martin O'NeillYes, it is confirmed that Martin O’Neill resigned as manager of Aston Villa five days before the start of the new Premier League. It was surprising for us to know and most likely for many followers of the English professional football club to discover. The reason why O’Neill resigned was not that clear on the reports.

Reserve team manager Kevin MacDonald was then told to be the caretaker manager. But the club will search for the perfect man to take the position O’Neill gave up.

But it was good to know that Paul Faulkner confirmed that the club was also thankful to O’Neill for everything he has done. No doubt, O’Neill has done a lot of things for the club.

Faulkner said: “The club would like to thank Martin for the great work he has done at Aston Villa over the past four years. He has helped to establish the club in the upper echelons of the Premier League, has taken us to Wembley and we have also qualified for European competition for the past three seasons under his management. We wish him the best in the future.”

While O’Neill said he also enjoyed his time with the club. And he also said he wishes everyone into the club all the best for the future.

O’Neill said: “I have enjoyed my time at Aston Villa immensely. It’s obviously a wrench to be leaving such a magnificent club. I would like to pay tribute to the Villa players, my coaching staff and the Villa supporters for all the support and encouragement they have given both the club and me personally during my time as manager. I wish them all the best for the future.”

Well, O’Neill has his reason or maybe reasons for resigning. Some fans might find it hard to accept that he resigned but then they should learn to accept it, they just have to.
