Notts County to Still Go a Long Way

8004933At the Crown Ground, Ben Davis, Lee Hughes and Luke Rodgers were actually able to score for Notts County. They were against then with their fellow promotion chasers but they were not mindful of the pressure it caused and just scored for the Magpies.

It is a good start according to Notts County manager Steve Cotterill. However, the manager concedes that the team is still to go a long way.

“It’s a good start but that’s all it is at the moment as there are a lot of games left to play,” Cotterill said. “All we can do is stay as committed and determined and hopefully get a few more results and see where it takes us.”

Cotterill realizes that Notts County is still up for many games. The team is still to go a long way considering the number of games that must be played. The team should just remain committed and determined to stay on the right track.

And Cotterill admits that his side is also still up for a goal since the take over two weeks ago.

“The clean sheets are the pleasing thing as it means we are concentrating for 90 minutes with the goals the icing on the cake as we don’t need the goal difference,” he said. “It was a really tricky game on a bobbly pitch and it is a tough place to come. Accrington are decent team but it was a good solid performance with some great goals.”

Cotterill is serious about keeping track of his side’s accomplishments and what his side needs to complete in the near future. He realizes that considering what his men showed at the Crown Ground, it is a good start. But he foresees it is still a long way for the Magpies. There are a lot of games to be played, a lot of games to win over.
