Birmingham City was reported recently to be not interested anymore about having Wigan Athletic winger Charles N’Zogbia after the player rejected the offer of the team.

The offer was reported to be worth £8million and with add-ons. However, N’Zogbia did not accept it. Thus, Birmingham City decided not to go for the winger instead.

“We have had an offer rejected for the player and our valuations are different,” said Birmingham chief executive Peter Pannu. “We don’t think it’s right to go any higher at this stage so therefore we withdraw.”

N’Zogbia was able to have an excellent season at the DW Stadium. And most likely, this was one of the things that Birmingham City considered for possibly having the winger. However, N’Zogbia rejected the offer. But of course, the winger has the reason or may be reasons for why not actually accept the offer.

The team can’t go any higher with the offer and so decided to just withdraw. The time for the team to have someone like N’Zogbia is yet to come.

Birmingham City was also reported to be interested about the abilities of Celtic’s Aiden McGeady and Hull’s Stephen Hunt. Specifically for Hunt, an offer worth £3m from Wolves, West Ham and West Brom was reported.

Naturally, players can and cannot accept an offer from a team. However, some fans could become very disappointed when they cannot. Like with what recently happened, N’Zogbia rejected an offer from Birmingham City, the player cannot just accept it. And some fans then got very disappointed. It should have been a good thing. But then the player has the reason or may be reasons for why not actually accepting the offer can be possible. Maybe the next time that the team could again give it a try with the player, the player can already give positive answer.
