Mourinho Glad His Side is Ahead
Yes, the popular coach Jose Mourinho is just glad that his side is now ahead, indeed has the edge, after beating Chelsea 2-1 in the initial leg of their last-16 clash in the Champions League. At the San Siro, his side got the lead.
Mourinho indeed formerly managed Chelsea, it was in September of 2007 when he decided to leave the team. Thus, before his game against the team he used to manage before, a lot of football fans have actually been asking whether he will be professional and will do his duties though against the said team.
Well, Mourinho himself did give the kind of answer that most likely most of the football fans wanted as an answer. In his game against his former team Chelsea, he was professional and has done his duties despite he and his side were against the team that before he was with.
But then, the Inter has only a narrow lead into the second leg next month at the Stamford Bridge. For the Serie A leaders, Esteban Cambiasso was indeed able to score a brilliant superb second goal.
“We can go there with a legitimate ambition to go through,” Mourinho said. “It’s obviously not the result which ends the tie, it’s not 3-0 or 4-0, but the most important thing is the result and we are ahead.”
And he also insisted certain things that he badly needs to do. He could have realized that it would be little crucial for him and his side.
“I will have to control my emotions in the second leg and be professional like I was today,” Mourinho added after the game. “In the tunnel, it is not a normal game for me – and it is not for them either – but, when the game starts, it becomes normal for them and for me. They want to win and I want to win.”
