McCarthy Talked About Fitness of His Players

Kevin DoyleFinally, Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy talked about fitness of his players, Kevin Doyle and Michael Kightly. A lot of football fans had been wondering if when the two will be confirmed in good condition after getting an injury. A calf injury kept Doyle out of the weekend friendly with Athletic Bilbao while knee injury sidelined Kightly for a period of time. And the Wolverhampton Wanderers boss confirmed that there is nothing serious to worry with fitness of the two players.

McCarthy said: “Doyle got a kick on his calf and is going to be assessed tomorrow in Ireland. If it’s only the kick and nothing else he’ll be involved, but if it’s anything else then he’ll come back. We don’t think it is anything else though, but I wasn’t going to risk him.”

While Wolverhampton Wanderers boss confirmed that Kightly is already in good condition after being sidelined because of knee problem.

McCarthy said: “Kightly is doing very well. He’s very positive about how he feels, but there’s no time on him, it’s about getting him back. He’ll start stepping into training with the lads this week and will do a couple of sessions with the football for 30 minutes. I’m thrilled with that. He will be like a new player for us because we hardly used him at all last year.”

The football fans must be very happy to know that there is nothing for them to be troubled about, the two are doing good physically according to McCarthy. The Wolverhampton Wanderers boss said the calf injury of Doyle seems not too serious and that Kightly is already doing very well after suffering from knee problem. For McCarthy, they are doing good and fans don’t have to worry about them anymore. They seem to be in good condition.
