Massimo Moratti himself confirmed that Maicon will stay with them next season. The Internazionale boss finally decided to put an end to the issue on the possible transfer of the Brazilian to Real Madrid. Maicon will stay with Internazionale next season after a move to Real Madrid did not happen, this according to Moratti.

Spanish club’s officials became interested in having the wing-back. However, the Internazionale boss recently confirmed that Maicon will stay with them next season. Moratti said that no move will take place.

Moratti said: “I can confirm that Maicon is not transferable. If Real Madrid really wanted him, they should have tried harder. We’re not letting go of him, because he’s a very strong player. He has a great understanding with our fans and it would have been very difficult to part company with him.”

For the Internazionale boss, officials of the Spanish club should have tried more seriously to have the wing-back for he is a very good player.

Moratti said in addition: “Maybe Real Madrid didn’t really understand how important Maicon is. He is a real class player and always gives his all for the team. He has been a key player for Inter and he really didn’t deserve to end up in a situation like this. Maicon will stay with us and he’s more than happy to do so.”

Well, some fans of Maicon might have wanted him to move to Real Madrid. It is considered as the most successful team in Spanish football. But then of course, they most likely understood that Internazionale can’t let of go of Maicon that easy. For Moratti, if the officials of the Spanish club only tried harder to have the wing-back, then they might have given him his freedom to be with them but for the Internazionale boss they failed to.
