Lahm Would Accept New Contract
The wing-back Philipp Lahm of Germany recently admitted that he would accept a new contract if only from Bayern Munich. He said he has been thinking about securing his long-term future with the German sports club. If the club will offer him a new contract that will make him stay for longer period at Allianz Arena then he will surely accept it.
Lahm still has two years left to play for Bayern Munich under his current contract. However, he admitted that he is very willing to play for a longer period for the club.
Lahm said: “There will definitely be talks about my contract this season. I assume that the club will approach me. I can imagine signing for the long term, because as a player in the coming years at Bayern you will play for international titles.”
To date, Lahm has spent entire of his career with Bayern though he was actually on loan at Stuttgart between 2003 and 2005. He has already gained more than 70 caps for Germany.
Obviously, Lahm has been enjoying his stay with Bayern Munich. He has been satisfied being with the club, playing for the club. And he most likely just realized at certain point that he will be well in the near future if he will continue to be a part of Bayern Munich. He even said that as a player in the next years still being with the club, he will be playing for international titles.
But of course, there might be some fans who were not happy after they heard about Lahm wishing to stay with the club for longer period. They might be thinking something else would be best for the wing-back. But then, they had to accept it. What makes him happy should also make them happy, after all they are supporters of the player.
