Jeff Jagodzinski Was Fired
Everyone was shocked today because Jeff Jagodzinski was suddenly fired. The team wasn’t that surprised, but the only thing that they were surprised at was how fast he got fired from his offensive coordinator position.
The reason why they fired Jeff Jagodzinski was because the team never seemed fast enough on offense, and they just seemed to be in slow motion all of the time. It was really hurting the team and Jeff Jagodzinski knew they were slow and didn’t do much to change it.
While fans were not surprised that the team fired him, they were a bit surprised at how fast he was replaced; so fast, that they announced the same day that Greg Olso, who is the quarterbacks coach, will be replacing Jeff Jagodzinski. Everyone seems to be really happy with this, and Greg has a lot of talent.
However, Greg does have tons of pressure on him right now. If he doesn’t show that he can speed up the offense and put together solid, effective plays, they will quickly fire him, just as they did Jeff Jagodzinski. They feel that won’t be the case with Greg though. One thing that was spotted with Jagodzinski was that he just didn’t seem to be giving the right kind of directions to the team and they were just going back and forth not doing much of anything. The team also complained about it because they wanted to win, and they saw that they were not getting anywhere with him.
The team has a big finale coming up and they want the right person there to play in it. They will be going against the Houston Texans in the preseason finale. This is a huge event for them because if they can’t beat Houston, they will be starting off the regular season on the wrong foot.
Not only did they get a new offensive coordinator, but they might be changing other things, because the team needs to improve how they play. So when they play their final preseason game, no one really knows exactly what is going to happen. This could work in their favor, as they could pull out a lot of tricks that no one will be expecting. All eyes will be on Greg the next few games as we see what he can and cannot do. He will also be pushing the team to play the best that they can play. Not only that, but he will particularly make sure that the offense is playing up to its potential.
