Huddlestone Signed New Contract With Spurs
One of the famous midfielders, Tom Huddlestone, has actually signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur. The said contract would actually keep him at the White Hart Lane until 2015 and just opted to sign it. He must be just happy about the relationship he has with the English team, therefore he chose to sign the said contract. He would just love to continue working on his career with the said team.
But of course, the feeling might just be mutual. Spurs won’t offer a new contract to the midfielder if actually not glad about the relationship with the midfielder. Good thing the Spurs considered offering a new contract and he accepted it.
It was actually in July 2005 when Huddlestone joined Spurs from Derby and it was for £2.5million. And now almost after 5 years, he has already made around 150 appearances for the English team. In the period of almost 5 years, he has been truly a significant part of many seasons.
And now since the beginning of this season, this 23-year-old midfielder has actually been a regular fixture in the starting XI. Not to mention that he has made three goals in 34 appearances and was able to make his senior international debut in November against Brazil.
However, Huddlestone obtained an injury and so missed the last two games, indeed the games that the Spurs wanted to secure to earn the fourth place in the prestigious Barclays Premier League. But of course, the team understood well why the youngster was not able to make it in the team’s last two games and it was because of an injury. The Spurs believed then that Huddlestone wanted to be a part of the two important games but there was nothing he can do with his condition then. It was just too unfortunate that he couldn’t make it then to the said games.
