Howard Not Sure About Playing for USA
At this summer’s world championships, Dwight Howard is expected by many to play for USA. However, people are now in doubts with the player deciding to play after what he said Monday. The player said he has not decided to play.
The player actually remained firm on commitment all season though LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and other stars expressed skepticism with regards to their participation. Thus, many now are wondering why really the player has been having doubts with own participation.
“I haven’t decided what I’m going to do,” said Howard. “I’m just going to get some rest and think about that later on.”
Many believe that Howard must play considering the player’s achievements. The most significant must be Howard winning bronze medal in the 2006 world championships.
But then, Howard expressed doubts about playing for USA at this summer’s world championships. People still have to wait for the final decision of the player. However, Howard said that he would let everyone know if he will play for USA or not soon.
Howard must be thinking of a certain thing or certain things so he cannot decide in an instant. But of course, it matters, or they matter to the player. Everyone should just give Howard time to think.
While USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo said that players who want to compete in the London Games in 2012 must also play this summer. So what will be the chairman’s reaction when some will not? This is for us to still find out.
James and Wade have already said that they might just not be able to play due to some summer plans all set. Both players are expected to become free agents starting 1st of July, with Chris Bosh, which might also make them actually not free to play this summer.
