Hillman Had His Last Victory With Royals

Trey HillmanTrey Hillman was saddened by news of Royals general manager Dayton Moore regarding his position as manager. He was indeed saddened by the fact that he was out as manager. However, he was granted the chance to still manage Thursday’s game, and so felt valued in a way.

And Thursday he said, “I was thankful to get to manage today. You don’t want to go out on a seven-game losing streak, that’s for sure.”

Well, Zack Greinke and the Royals managed to have the long-overdue drive to the victory lane. Cleveland Indians team was beaten 6-4. After seven straight losses, the Royals managed to have a win.

And after the game, Hillman even discussed his last win with the Royals. He explained, “Zack had more reach-back velocity. We saw it in the first inning after the leadoff triple. Zack had more of what we saw last year, and that makes me real hopeful for the rest of the season for him and for the Royals.”

Though he was saddened by the fact that he was out as manager of the Royals still before leaving he showed optimism, that for the rest of the season for Greinke specifically and for the Royals generally just all the best.

Hillman might have wished that the decision will soon change. But even up to the last minute before the start of Thursday’s game the decision didn’t change, he must be out as Royals manager. However, it happened for a reason and we believe that he had this thought in mind.

We just wish the Royals all the best now with the team’s new manager. And of course we wish all the best as well for Hillman. He has been also a good Royals manager for a period of time so just all the best for him.
