Hesl Opted to Sign New Contract With Hamburg

Wolfgang HeslThe young goalkeeper Wolfgang Hesl has actually opted to sign new contract that will keep him at the HSH Nordbank Arena until the end of the 2011-12 campaign. This only means that the 24-year-old goalkeeper will be at the HSH Nordbank Arena for two more seasons.

Well, Hesl seemed happy when he revealed that he opted to sign new contract, to stay at the HSH Nordbank Arena until 2012.

“I am very happy that I will have the chance to stay at Hamburg for two more seasons,” said Hesl.

But the goalkeeper who only managed to make three first-team appearances for the Europa League quarter-finalists, at first thought, might also be hesitant to do so. However, he was able to talk to coach Bruno Labbadia and technical director Bernd Hoffman and eventually realized that the right thing for him to do is to actually sign new contract with Hamburg.

“The good conversations I had with coach Bruno Labbadia and technical director Bernd Hoffman made me decide to sign a new deal,” said Hesl.

While coach Labbadia has spoken in behalf of the other members of the team in relation to the decision of the goalkeeper who has been with them for almost a year now.

“We have been working with Wolfgang for about a year now and we are very happy with his development,” said coach Labbadia. “We are looking forward to continuing working together.”

Good thing Hesl was able to talk to coach Labbadia and technical director Hoffman as by talking to them he indeed realized that he should just opt to sign new contract, to actually stay with Hamburg until the end of the 2011-12 campaign. He has been just right for the team and he has the potential to just become a better goalkeeper for the team.
