Guardiola must be enjoying his stay at the Camp Nou for him to opt to sign a new long-term contract with Barcelona. He has been with the club for two seasons and must be happy staying with the club.

However, the 39-year-old coach only wanted to sign a new one-year contract with Barcelona. But most likely he will consider signing another one-year contract after a year.

Bartomeu said: “The coach could soon sign a new deal. We had wanted a longer agreement with Pep Guardiola, but it was only decided for one year.”

Bartomeu admitted that they desired for a longer agreement with the coach. They wanted to secure the coach’s longer stay. But then it turned out that he only wanted to sign a new one-year contract with Barcelona. But of course, Barcelona vice-president was happy with the new one-year contract. At least, the coach considered staying for another year at the Camp Nou. Bartomeu and the club will surely have the coach for another year. And it was already satisfying for Bartomeu then. Bartomeu and the club can just look forward to maybe another new one-year contract after end of this one contract. The coach should just love more staying at the Camp Nou for him to opt to sign maybe another new one-year contract after a year.

Bartomeu said in addition: “Now the coach has opened the door for a longer agreement. This is not a problem because the club is very satisfied with his work.”
