Granderson Now Up to Something New
The 29-year-old outfielder Curtis Granderson is now up to something new but it has nothing with to do with him actually wearing a new baseball uniform or even adjusting to certain things involving his new clubhouse.
It has something to do with him seeing things differently, with him having an improved vision. The outfielder is now up to something like having a 20/20 vision.
Granderson in an interview said that he has been always open about trying new things most especially if helpful.
“Hey, I’m always into trying something new and changing it up,” said Granderson. “I’ve been doing it my whole career. You pick what works and toss out what doesn’t.”
Granderson, before being traded to the very famous New York Yankees, had never even tried to use contact lenses. However, he went through a routine physical in December and discovered then that his vision might have been not 20/20 instead 20/30.
It is just so important for players to have 20/20 vision to be able to perform well. And of course, the outfielder has been very much aware of this and so he considered the idea of using contact lenses.
But Granderson has heard about an eye surgery that can just help him to have perfect vision permanently. He is also open to it as of now however he is considering the recovery period he needs to go through if ever he pushed through with it. It will bump too closely against the start of Spring Training.
“I didn’t want to come down here and still be trying to recover from it,” said Granderson. “It was recommended that, if we do ever do that, to wait until the absolute end of the season.”
It is pretty obvious now that the outfielder has actually been always open about trying new things most especially if helpful. But he has been also always considerate of the strings attached with such things.
