Fry Won’t Allow Boyd to Leave Cheaply

George BoydPeterborough United director of football Barry Fry was recently interviewed about the possible departure of George Boyd from the team after Championship relegation and based on everything he said when he was actually interviewed, he will not allow Boyd to leave or go cheaply.

The last term Boyd has actually scored 13 goals and for this several teams in the second-tier became interested to give him a try. However, the director will not allow him to go to a team that will not give reflective sum for his skills.

“The chairman, manager and myself are all agreed that George will not be going anywhere if we don’t receive a bid that matches our valuation of him,” said the director. “There are clubs interested in signing him, but so far none have offered us enough to make us want to sell. And, believe me, if that situation does not change George will play for us next season.”

The director admitted that they all plan to get back into the Championship and so it will be better if they will still have Boyd.

“We are all determined to have a real go at getting back into the Championship and we will have a better chance with him than without him,” said the director.

Fry will not allow Boyd to leave or go cheaply. The director of course has been a fan as well of the footballer and he has been just very much into what he can actually do. Fry will most likely just allow him to depart from the team if for a sum just right for his skills.

But may be one of these days a team might just offer a right sum for Boyd’s skills and Fry would just allow him to leave, we just have to wait and see.
