Cherries’ Boss Currently Can’t Commit to Posh Job
The youngest manager in the Football League at age 31, Howe, is the favorite to take over Darren Ferguson’s former position at the London Road. The erstwhile Manchester United midfielder actually left the club on Tuesday, however, he left with consent.
Director of football of Peterborough, Barry Fry, communicated with League Two’s leader operations director, Neill Blake, on Tuesday night to actually ask if it is possible to speak with Howe and Jason Tindall, the manager’s assistant.
However, the Cherries’ boss, Eddie Mitchell, was able to see the two on Wednesday morning and was told that the highly-rated management duo are committed to the South Coast Club.
Mitchell then right away explained everything to the Bournemouth Echo. He said, “I met with Eddie and Jason this morning after letting them know of the interest late last night. Eddie, Jason and myself were all very flattered that somebody had taken the trouble to approach us. But the circumstances are that Eddie and Jason are keen to see us progress and want to stick with us.”
It really seems that the Cherries’ boss can’t commit to Posh job as of this moment. The two are like still eager to stay with the club which they are a big part now. But of course, Eddie being a nice guy, took the Peterborough guy’s number and contacted him to express his gratitude for the interest on them but it is just that currently, both he and Jason still want to work with AFC Bournemouth.
May be it’s really true that it’s all a matter of choice. Eddie and Jason opt for the choice to stay with their current club, they just opt for the choice that they believe is worth opting as of now. After some time, who knows, if the offer is still available they might already grab it.
