Button Tried Out Another Great Machinery at Melbourne’s Albert Park

Jenson-ButtonAccording to news reports, the reigning Formula One world champion Jenson Button has actually tried out on Tuesday at Melbourne’s Albert Park another great machinery, indeed another high-speed machinery. And it was actually made possible by the swapping of cars between Button and the Australian V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup.

The said trading of cars between the two champions put Button safe in the seat of Whincup’s Team Vodafone Holden Commodore while Whincup of the British Formula One’s MP4-23.

For Button, the experience was great. For him it was indeed something really worth remembering.

“That was great!” said Button after he raced using the car of the other team. “It was difficult to get used to: I was surprised by how much grip it had. I was carrying a lot of speed, but turned into a right-hander, got a lot of understeer and ran off onto the painted run-off. But it was all good. In a Formula One car I’d have been closing my eyes at that point!”

And for Whincup, most likely it was also great. Most probably, an experience also really worth remembering.

“Jumping into a Formula One car is almost like going into space, or flying a fighter jet,” said Whincup after he tried out the British Formula One’s car at the great Albert Park. “It’s right up there with the best thing I could ever do. The car just does everything you’d want it to. The strain on my neck was amazing. The g-forces you feel are so much greater than I’d feel aboard my own race car. The F1 car is just a rocket ship. It’s another league.”

The two seemed glad about their recent experience at Melbourne’s Albert Park. Thus, they might just consider trying another car swap anytime soon to have same experience really worth remembering.
