Last Sunday, everyone in Melbourne saw how thrilled Jenson Button to win the prestigious Formula One race Australian Grand Prix. He seemed so thrilled then. Well it was a challenging race for him just considering that the best Formula One racers were all there to also try to win the said race. Thus, he can just be very thrilled then.

Button conceded that he was not that confident then that he’d be winning the race not until the last lap.

“You never really know until the last lap,” Button said. “I think if everyone is on a same strategy then you get a feel for it, but Robert (Kubica) was kind of helping me in a way and when some of the guys were pitting towards the end for new tyres and came out again stupidly quick – which you should be when you have new tyres, two or three seconds – I had to keep up the gap between Robert and me, just in case someone wanted to hunt me down. In fact I really became aware of it when I crossed the finish line. This is an amazing victory for the whole team.”

Button seemed so glad about his accomplishment. He might have not expected it but he was actually able to make it happen.

After the race, Button was interviewed and was able to express his great happiness.

“I want to go and spend time with the team,” Button said. “I am very, very happy. This was a very special day for me.”

However, the champion racer has also shared his thoughts regarding his team still being very hungry for victories as well as his team being up to some improvements to enjoy these victories. It is still a long way for him and for his team.
