When fans here talk about Brad Penny, some of them aren’t so sure what to think about him. This is partly because of how he started off when he was playing with the Red Sox.  Brad Penny had an injury, and he couldn’t play because of it. When he came off the injured list and was cleared, they put him in the bullpen, mainly for insurance, and he never seemed strong enough to do much of anything. Many of the Red Sox viewed him as weak and didn’t appreciate him not being able to do anything.

Brad Penny got fed up. He was quickly rotated out of the game and after his rotation; he decided to see if he could team up with the San Francisco Giants. They have decided that they want to take him on and have cleared any waivers that have been left with the Red Sox. He will be making $400k salary, which is pro-rated. He will still be getting some of his pay from the Boston Red Sox. He will be getting paid $5 million from the Sox, so between that and the $400k from the Giants, he will be doing well for himself.

Brad Penny really believes that this was the right move and he is looking forward to being able to claim back his reputation with the San Francisco Giants. However, there are some fans that are disappointed with the decision because Brad Penny may not be as strong as others. Some fans believe that the Red Sox didn’t bring out the best in Brad Penny since they never played him and that he will be awesome with the Giants because he has a really good record, despite being in the bullpen so much with the Red Sox.

Fans think that what he needs is just a tough coach, and since he’s going to the Giants he will get just that, and he will slowly start improving on his skills. For Penny, he knows that he must play his best because if he doesn’t play his best and gets traded by the Giants, it could cause him to really suffer, and it could also hurt the Giants if he doesn’t do anything.

Fans continue showing support for Penny with the betting. Even though there are some that have doubts, the majority of them really believe that Penny will help the team out and they want to make sure that Penny won’t suffer anymore. The Red Sox are glad that Penny has found a good team and they hope that he just plays his best, and they want Penny to succeed while he is playing.
