Ancelotti Advised His Men to Keep Their Cool
Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea was actually beaten 2-1 by Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham Hotspur the previous weekend. Thus, after such misfortune, Chelsea manager advised his men to actually keep their cool.
Ancelotti conceded that the best thing for his men to do after the defeat is to maintain their coolness in today’s Premier League battle. They should not panic despite the defeat and actually despite the other problems that came along.
Aside from the defeat, Ancelotti’s men can also be disturbed by the marching order given to skipper John Terry later in the game at White Hart Lane and by the 1-0 victory of Manchester United over Manchester City which left them at the top of the table by just a point with only three fixtures actually left. But of course they should not be disturbed by such problems ad just simply keep their cool.
In order for them to get their first league title since 2006, Ancelotti’s men must act and eventually play like the usual. They need not to panic.
“We know what we have to do in the next three games,” Ancelotti said to the reporters. “We must not have a panic now. We are top of the league with only three games left, so every team wants to be in our place. We have two at home and one difficult game away. We can be the best again. A one-point lead is not bad at this stage of the season.”
For us, the Italian football manager and former player just did the right thing to actually advise his men to do what’s right and it is to keep their cool. It won’t help if they actually panic. They should stay cool and play just right. They must have the focus in order to get their first league title since 2006.
