Too bad that now, a silverware this season is already impossible for the English football team Everton. The team just got eliminated in the Europa League because of 3-0 defeat. The team played against the Portuguese football team Sporting Lisbon however was beaten.

According to reports, the three second-half goals were the reason that Everton ended up on a defeat and now can’t anymore fight for a silverware this season.

But Everton manager David Moyes explained that they deserved to lose. He admitted that they didn’t not play that well.

“I am disappointed,” Moyes said. “We did not play well enough on the night to get a result.”

And for Moyes, the players like Pedro Mendes, Matias Fernandez, and Miguel Veloso have scored and Sporting seized a last-16 tie against the Spanish football team Atletico Madrid.

“Sporting got a grip early on,” Moyes said. “I thought we had weathered it but we did not cause them enough problems. We never really imposed our game on them at any time and because of that allowed them to do what they did. I felt if we played we could knock Sporting out but we did not get out of first gear all night.”

It might be that Moyes has accepted their losses without much trouble but they might be just hard to forget. They were beaten, and most especially they were eliminated in the Europa League. Therefore now, they don’t have the chance to win any silverware this season.

But of course, Moyes and his team will have a chance to do so the next season. They may be luckier the next season so they should not feel really sorry. The next season, they might already get their hands on a silverware that they like most. This season might not be the season for them to.
